Tungsten is one potential candidate of the plasma-facing materials because of its excellent properties such as high melting point, high threshold energy for physical sputtering and low retention of hydrogen isotopes[1~3]. In this paper, the influences of helium ion implantation on the surface of tungsten are investigated by using nano-hardness measurements. In the present work, high purity(>99.99%)powder-metallurgy tungsten(PM-W)samples with ≈10×10×3.2
