学习英语时,经常看到有人把east,west,south和north不分青红皂白地全部翻译为东方、西方、南方、北方。其实这样的翻译是不准确的。拿我国来说,地域划分就有不同的依据。一般我们说东部沿海地区和西部地区;划分南北时,则常用南方和北方。由此,我们在翻译east,west,south和north的时候,要把east,west分别翻译为东部、西部,把south,north分别翻译为南方、北方。同时,我们还应该注意northeast,northwest,southeast,
