现在我们的文化,实际上不仅是由旧文化组成的,也不仅仅由新文化组成,即不仅仅有中国本土创造的文化组成的,同时又吸收了西方外来文化的很多东西。我们中国文化可以说在世界上是一个包容性最大的文化。我们整个民族从整体上看是分工合作的,我们文化存在的形式陷入的是以学科的多样分工而出现的一个复杂的整体,而不再是由一个人来集中体现我们现代文化的高度。所有的分门别类的文化的学科都在旧的国学当中被排斥在外,那么对中国学术来说就不完整了。尽管研究的对象与他人有差异,但作为一种文化,思考这个问题的文化的背景要大,不仅要大,还要通,通就在于知识分子意识到研究不是为了毁坏、压制任何一个有价值的文化。这个文化背景上是广大的,在研究上是尖端的。所以从这个意义上来说,旧的国学的观念给我们学术研究带来很大的差异,所以我提出新的国学。2006年12月14日上午,北京师范大学教授、汕头大学兼职教授王富仁,在湖南科技学院综合信息楼六会议室,与该校师生座谈,本文是对这次座谈的录音整理。
Now our culture is actually composed not only of the old culture but also of the new one, that is, not only the culture created by the Chinese mainland, but also the many foreign cultures in the West. We can say that Chinese culture is one of the most inclusive cultures in the world. As a whole, our entire nation is a division of labor and cooperation. The form of our cultural existence is caught in a complex whole that appears in various disciplines of disciplines. It is no longer the height of our modern culture concentrated by one person. All disaggregated cultural disciplines are excluded from the old Chinese studies and are therefore incomplete for Chinese scholarship. Although the object of study is different from others, as a culture, the culture of thinking about this issue has a large background, not only large but also important, because the intellectuals realize that the study is not intended to destroy or suppress any value Culture. This cultural background is vast and sophisticated in research. Therefore, in this sense, the old concepts of Chinese learning brought great differences to our academic research, so I proposed a new Chinese learning. On the morning of December 14, 2006, Wang Furen, a professor at Beijing Normal University and part-time professor at Shantou University, talked with teachers and students at Hunan University of Science and Technology on the sixth floor of the comprehensive information building.
