中草药的“四气五味”有物质基础,气味源于物质的化学成分,与其物质能量有关。化学反应中的电子、质子及带电基团得失吸推转移是能量变化的基础,酸碱理论和软硬酸碱原则以及前线轨道理论与中草药的气味学说相应,是其化学结构特性的反映,是众多化学成分在广义酸、碱性上的共同体现。电子鼻、电子舌能感受一类群化学物质,能区分中草药的“四气五味”,做出准确鉴别。这将对中草药标准化、中草药质量控制、中西药会通、方剂配伍、中医现代化等一系列重大课题产生影响。“,”ABSTRACT:The theory of four properties and five tastes in Chinese herbal medicine is based on chemical substances and associated with materials and energy. The transfer of electrons and protons as well as the reposition of electriferous groups are foundation of the change in energy during chemical reactions. The acid-base theory,the hard and soft acids and bases theory (hSaB) and the frontier orbital theory all work in concert with the theory of four properties and five tastes,which serves as the reflection of chemical structures of multiple ingredients of Chinese medicine in broad sense of acid-base theory. The electronic nose and tongue can sense groups of chemical substances and determine the four properties and five tastes of Chinese herbal medicine. This will impact on a series of important subjects such as standardized Chinese herbal medicine,quality control of Chinese herbal medicine,integrative use of Chinese and western medicine,compatibility of medicines in prescriptions,mod-ernization of TCM,etc.
