Chongqing is a newly emerging municipality in the western part of China and is also an open city in the world that is of great concern to the Chinese inland riverside. In 1999, Fortune Magazine’s Shanghai Forum ranked Chongqing as one of the most potential areas for investment in China, after only Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing.
