虚拟学习社区为学习者享有他们所需的知识提供一个开放的学习平台,并能够对这些知识获取、分类、存储、共享。学习者在这样的学习环境中交流信息、探讨问题、提出新观念、拓展问题思路、交流学习心得、相互争论、达成共识,进行知识建构,不仅学习到了知识,而且获得了学习能力,提高了多种智能,促进了团队合作精神,提升了集体智慧。Senge(1990)指出“学习型组织”不应只是新能力的发展,而应是本质上,个体与整体之心智思考的转变。他列出了五项学习型组织的基本核心,一般称为“学习修练”。学习修练中的五项核心原则也构成虚拟学习社区的学习动力。本项研究针对学习型组织理念来研究虚拟学习社区,通过社区——虚拟社区——虚拟学习社区(VLC)这一路线着重阐述虚拟学习社区的功能及构成,以此来研究学习型虚拟学习社区的构建。
