增强树脂在橡胶配方中,尤其是在汽车轮胎中得到广泛应用。增强树脂可以提高表面硬度,提高静态应变模量,降低动态应变模量。传统的市售增强树脂是以热塑性酚醛树脂为基料,其中一些用漆酚树脂或妥尔油改性。本研究探讨了树脂的结构与性能之间的关系。作者最近致力于研发以烷基酚和苯酚共聚的未改性增强树脂为基料的新一代增强树脂。尽管这些树脂仍处于研发阶段,但是已经达到中试阶段。在橡胶混炼过程中,这些独具特色的树脂实际上可降低胶料粘度,减少动力损耗,同时使炭黑的分散性良好,进而赋予硫化胶制品同等或更佳的性能。
Reinforced resins are widely used in rubber formulations, especially in automotive tires. Reinforced resin can improve the surface hardness, increase the static strain modulus and reduce the dynamic strain modulus. Traditional commercially available reinforcing resins are based on thermoplastic phenolic resins, some of which are modified with urushiol resins or tall oil. This study explored the relationship between resin structure and performance. The author recently worked on the development of a new generation of reinforcing resins based on unmodified reinforcing resins copolymerized with alkylphenols and phenols. Although these resins are still under development, they have reached the pilot stage. In the rubber compounding process, these unique resins can actually reduce the viscosity of the compound, reduce power loss, while good dispersion of carbon black, thereby giving vulcanized rubber products equal or better performance.
