In this paper, a coherent Doppler velocity measuring instrument based on semiconductor laser is given. To record object velocities in the range of 0.1-1000 cm / s, the homodyne displacement effect of the laser’s internal field and the delayed signal reflected by the target are used. The experimental dependence of the high frequency Doppler component in the radiation on the laser beam parameters and external reflection conditions is obtained.
