审美本质迄今仍是不少学者抵御反本质主义思潮的最后堡垒,而本尼特“没有审美的文学”有利于突破这道防线。但本尼特对文学性的解构存在为人忽视的内部张力:他一方面从理论上批评西方马克思主义文论依赖一系列否定的限定关系来界定文学,另一方面又主张应在关系语境中研究文学,两者在方法论上其实并无大异。针对诠释过程中文本的形而上学迷思,他提出了阅读型构策略。这种运用式的文学观固然极大地张扬了读者的能动性,却也留下了过度阐释的隐忧,且与其关系语境论殊难相容。
The aesthetic essence is by far the last bastion of many scholars against the anti-essentialism trend, and Bennett’s “no aesthetic literature” is conducive to breaking through this line of defense. Bennett, however, has neglected internal tension on the literary deconstruction: On the one hand, he criticizes the theory of Western Marxist literary reliance on a series of negative definite relations to define the literature, on the other hand, he advocates that in the relational context Research literature, the two are not very different in methodology. Aiming at the metaphysical myth of the text in the process of interpretation, he proposed a reading strategy. This kind of application of the concept of literature certainly greatly publicizes the reader’s initiative, but also left over-interpretation of the hidden worries, and the relationship between the context of its incompatible.
