In our hospital from July to August 1990, 67 cases of poliomyelitis were treated, the ratio of male to female was 1: 1.48; those under 5 years old accounted for 94%; those who did not take part of the live attenuated vaccine for polio accounted for 92.6%. Clinical manifestations of short-term fever with upper respiratory tract or gastrointestinal symptoms, followed by irregular, asymmetric
