盆栽试验的结果表明,在非种植条件下,盖草量与土壤水分蒸发量;表土盐分含量与覆草量之间均呈极显著线性负相关。在种植大麦条件下亦遵循上述规律,盖草比不盖草减少水分蒸散量97.3mm,效果十分明显,17次测定各处理5cm处土壤溶液电导率与水分蒸散量之间均呈极显著线性正相关,水分蒸失越多,盐分浓度越高。覆盖节水抑盐效果明显,盖草比不盖草的大麦生育性状和产量均有所提高
