Vocabulary is the basis of English learning. The article analyzes the present situation of English vocabularies and its learning characteristics of higher vocational students. According to the theory of psychology, it puts forward a method to innovate VTE in higher vocational colleges. The aim is to promote English vocabulary teaching in higher vocational schools.
