亚洲运动会简称亚运会,是亚洲运动会联合会主办的综合性运动会。每4年1届,与奥运会相间举行,会期16天。至1986年已举办10届。除广泛开展的田径、游泳、篮球、排球、足球等必列项目外,东道国可根据自身条件和运动技术水平适当增减。1973年9月,亚洲运动会联合会执委会确认中华全国体育总会为该会会员。我国已参加第七、八、九、十届亚运会,并将举办第十一届亚运会。亚运会是仅次于奥运会的洲际体育盛会。有小奥运会之称。由于它对各国人民的友谊、了解和团结产生的积极影响,受到亚洲各国的普遍重视。他们把争当主
