新地里遗址位于浙江省桐乡市留良乡湾里村。2001年3月-2002年1月,由浙江省文物考古研究所和桐乡市文物管理委员会联合组成考古队,对新地里遗址进行了发掘。发掘面积2500余平方米,揭示了一处良渚文化高上台的背建和使用过程,清理良渚文化墓葬140座,还发掘了灰坑、灰沟、井、祭祀坑、红烧土建筑遗迹等良渚文化遗迹,出土有陶、石、玉、骨、牙、木等各类质料的良渚文化遗物1800余件(组)。新地里遗址所在的嘉兴地区是良渚时期一个相对独立的区域,在良渚文化的演进历程和文化面貌上,都具有鲜明的地域特色。
The site of the new site is located in Wanli Village, Liuliang Township, Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province. From March 2001 to January 2002, an archeological team composed of Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology and Tongxiang Cultural Relics Management Committee jointly excavated Xindi Ruins. Excavation of an area of 2,500 square meters, revealing a Liangzhu culture altar on the back of the building and use of the process, clearing 140 Liangzhu cultural tombs, but also to explore the gray pit, gray ditch, well, sacrificial pits, terracotta monuments, etc. There are more than 1,800 pieces of Liangzhu cultural relics unearthed from the Liangzhu Culture Relics, including pottery, stone, jade, bone, tooth and wood. The Jiaxing area where the Xindi ruins are located is a relatively independent area during the Liangzhu period. It has distinctive regional characteristics in the evolution and cultural aspects of the Liangzhu culture.
