Hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gate cation channel (HCN) is a special cation channel that exists in nerve cells, small intestinal stromal cells, sinoatrial node cells or Cardiac cells and other self-regulatory cell membrane, is to produce over-activation of positive ion current of the structural basis, is considered to be an important feature of pacemaker cells. HCN ion channel is not only closely related to apoptosis and current conduction, but also closely related to a variety of life processes. In recent years, HCN ion channel has been involved in many diseases such as pain, epilepsy, arrhythmia and gastrointestinal system, especially related to Neurological disorders, the following is a summary of the relationship between hyperpolarized activated cyclic nucleotide-gated cation channels (HCNs) and diseases.
