In view of the fact that there are few hours in professional English and the combination of basic English and major, this paper analyzes the characteristics and current situation of English teaching of automation in higher vocational colleges, expounds the connotation and significance of the project - based teaching, and analyzes in detail the principles of project - based teaching.
