White rice is too “fine” fiber Studies have shown that people who eat at least 5 white rice a week have a 17% higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes than those who eat a maximum of one white rice a week. More intake of 3 two white rice, the prevalence of diabetes increased by 11%; eat the most rice and the smallest compared to the risk of diabetes increased by 55%. Studies conducted in China and Japan found that those who consumed the most white rice had a 55% higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes than those who consumed the least amount of intake, while the intake of refined white rice was far less than that of the United States and Australia in both China and Japan
