Objective: To investigate the effects of salt forbidding on plasma angiotensin Ⅱ, aldosterone and atrial natriuretic peptide. Methods: The levels of plasma angiotensin Ⅱ and aldosterone in normal and banned rats of different ages were measured by radioimmunoassay. The concentrations of plasma atrial natriuretic peptide in rats fed with normal saline, salt forbidden and excessive salt were measured. Results: The rats fed with normal diet contained a certain amount of angiotensin Ⅱ, aldosterone and atrial natriuretic peptide. The plasma concentration of angiotensin Ⅱ in normal fed rats did not change significantly with age, while the concentration of aldosterone increased with age and reached the level of adult rats 25 days after birth. Inhibition of salt plasma angiotensin Ⅱ and aldosterone concentrations were significantly elevated, atrial natriuretic peptide was significantly reduced. Saline overdose significantly increased plasma atrial natriuretic peptide levels in rats. CONCLUSIONS: Different sodium intake may affect the secretion of certain hormones in rats and regulate the regulation of water, electrolytes, blood pressure and blood volume. These changes are of great importance in the study of the occurrence, prevention and research of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases The occurrence and change of certain behaviors are of great significance
