This article reports the relationship between 463 infants and children 10 to 19 years old boys and girls maximum oxygen uptake and physical development. Correlation analysis showed that VO2max, VO2max / height and VO2max / maximum heart rate were positively correlated with somatic variables such as height, weight and lean body mass (LBM). VO2max / body weight was positively correlated with body mass, Girls had a lower negative correlation; VO2max / LBM was not associated with the somatic variables, boys and girls. According to the height, weight and LBM grouping, the male and female children were divided into two groups: the better developed (group 1) and the poorer (group 2). The VO2max values of the two groups were compared. The VO2max, VO2max / / Maximum heart rate SDS values were greater than the second group; and VO2max / weight and VO2max / LBM SDS values on the contrary. The results of the grouping of SDS values are consistent with the results of the correlation analysis. The authors concluded that body weight and LBM may be the main factors that influence the VO2max.
