秦皇岛港务局四公司以安全优质高效低耗为目标、以装卸工艺改革为龙头、以机械设备改造为重点、以提高职工岗位技能为基础,坚持开展群众性科技攻关活动,取得了明显的成效。1994年,取得了55项技改成果,创直接经济效益340万元。大力推进科技进步,全面提高了公司经济效益和社会效益,全年完成杂货吞吐量270.18万吨,比上年增长12.5％;安全生产取得了杜绝工亡事故,保持18年无火灾的好成绩;货运质量稳定提高,1994年装卸件杂货1500万件,消灭了货运事故,船方货主满意率达98％以上。这个公司连续四年获市级科技先导型企业称号。
