一、调查背景作为英语专业基础课程之一的英语阅读课程,高等学校英语专业教学大纲指出:其目的在于培养学生的英语阅读理解能力和提高学生的阅读速度,应选用题材广泛的阅读材料,以便向学生提供广泛的语言和文化素材,扩大学生的知识面,增强学生的英语语感,培养学生的阅读兴趣。但目前英语阅读课程仍普遍在采用传统的教学模式,学生普遍反映阅读课只提高了他们的应试能力,学生的参与度并不高,成了被动的接受者却未能扩大知识面,增强英语语感、
