《田家半月报》是我国历史上早期面向农村的通俗杂志之一,张雪岩因主编该报成为我国现代最早面向农民办报的知识分子和中国基督教著名的传媒领袖。张雪岩的农村文字事工理念、爱国情怀及其对《田家》杂志的经营管理活动,以及《田家》大量传播的科学文化知识和抗战救国思想,对中国农村的进步,对中国民族独立、和平民主事业做出了显著的贡献。
