采用浸泡试验、盐雾试验、经典的重量法、电极电位法以及金相分析等实验手段, 对不同材料制成的纱网, 诸如:AlMgRE合金纱网、AlMg 合金纱网、铁丝纱网和塑料纱网的耐腐蚀性能了研究和比较。实验结果表明, 在自来水、天然海水、不同浓度的NaCl 溶液以及0-05 mol·L- 1 的Na2SO4 溶液及10 % H2SO4 溶液等的介质中,AlMgRE合金纱网的耐腐蚀性能优于国产的和从美国进口的AlMg 合金纱网, 并且大大优于铁丝和塑料纱网的耐腐蚀性能。AlMgRE合金在天然海水和0-05 mol·L- 1 的Na2SO4 介质中的电极电位随RE含量的增加而呈直线增加。加RE的铝合金比未加RE的铝合金铸态晶粒细, 化合物多呈球状, 而未加RE的化合物多呈棒状。这些微结构的变化有利于合金的耐腐蚀性能的提高。AlMgRE合金纱网可直接用于海水、海洋大气以及工业用水和工业大气等环境, 在高温、严寒、潮湿、多雨的环境中, 是易氧化腐蚀的铁丝纱网和易老化的塑料纱网的新型代用材料。
