Studies were proceeded on shape change,tissue morphological development and content of endogenous cytokinnins of young fuji apple fruit treated with forchlorfenuron 〔1 (2 chloro 4 pyridyl) 3 phenylurea,CPPU〕.The results showed that both the length and diameter of the treated fruit increased and its shape index improved from 0.95 to 1.06.The cell division and division period of the treated fruit increased so quickly that the cell numbers mounted while the average cell volume remained the same as that of untreated fruit.The content of endogenous cytokinin (zeatin) in treated fruit in the cell division climax time and later,it was more than that in untreated fruit.
