It has a complex mechanical system that includes pedals, flaps, levers, etc. used to transport beasts to the stage. Under a 55,000-seat amphitheater, it’s all controlled by pulleys and ropes, connecting the aisles, opening the door and lifting the cage from the basement to the stage floor. The system is operated by trained slaves, who domesticate beasts and are at risk of being eaten by beasts.
