本文的主要目的是研究实现广域网上的多媒体通信,为设计开发广域网环境中的多媒体通信终端做技术准备。我们试图在PC机Windows操作系统的平台上,建立一个基于TCP/IP网络协议的支持视频、音频流的实时、双向传输和通用数据传输(如支持白板功能)的桌面视频会议系统,目前实现了TCP/IP协议下的通信模块和Video for Windows标准的视频捕获与播放功能,对视频等实时数据在Internet上的传输策略与同步算法进行了研究。
The main purpose of this paper is to study the realization of multimedia communication over wide area networks and to make technical preparations for the design and development of multimedia communication terminals in a wide area network environment. We have tried to establish a desktop video conferencing system based on the TCP / IP network protocol that supports real-time, bidirectional transmission of video and audio streams and general data transmission (such as whiteboard support) based on the Windows operating system of the PC. At present, The communication module under the TCP / IP protocol and the video capture and playback function of Video for Windows are used to study the transmission strategy and synchronization algorithm of real-time data such as video on the Internet.
