《后宫·甄传》和《简·爱》分别叙述了18世纪中国和19世纪英国的女性故事.两部小说均结合当时的历史背景不同程度地表述了女性主义的观念或意识,比如主人公的爱情观与反抗精神.本文从分析两部小说作品女性主义发展的动态曲线开始,进而得出能否实现财产独立是女性主义的经济依托.本文认为应当用历史维度研究女性主义,用历史的和发展的眼光分析女性主义.比较两部作品女性主义的意义,不在于比较中西方的女性主义孰优孰劣,而是要着重于两部作品影射出的女性主义的现实启示.女性主义不只是为了追求平等话语权,更重要的是一种追求弱者也能得到应有尊重的思想.
