红苕是耐旱、耐瘠、适应性广、高产稳产的作物。相同生产条件下,产量远比其它作物为高。我省红苕种植面积较大,但亩产水平不高,增产潜力很大。1976—1978三年平均亩产为333斤(折原粮),和玉米亩产332斤相近,但近年来玉米产量逐年上升,红苕却排徊不前。究其原因,主要是:耕作粗放,肥少质差,苗瘦弱,扦插不及时,密度偏稀,品种退化、混杂等。只要切实解决这些问题,在较短时间内达到一个较高的产量水平是完全可能的。当前应抓好:一、深翻改土,增施肥料,培肥地力。 Red Clover is drought-resistant, barren, wide adaptability, high-yield stable crops.
