加拿大铁矿石公司(Iron Ore Company of Canada或IOC)为了增加其卡罗尔湖铁矿(根据习惯,以下简称卡罗尔铁矿——校者)钻机组的生产能力,并满足其矿石增产的需要,于1975年开始着手一项计划,将GD—120和60—R型牙轮钻机,由用多节钻杆穿凿直径12(1/4)英寸的炮孔改成用一节钻杆穿凿直径15英尺的炮孔。本文将扼要地分析包括若干试验与结果在内的这项改造计划,并从经济与生产两种观点出发,根据一项全面的穿爆计划,探讨如何因采用15英寸直径的炮孔,使该矿生产中的穿孔、爆破以及穿孔加爆破各方面的状况得到了改进。
