四川甘孜藏族自治州沪定县磨西乡杉木村,海拔1860米,这里有一株古老的杉木,被当地群众称为香杉,尊为神树。1984年7月中旬,我们曾专程赴磨西乡,对这株杉木古树进行实地调查和测量。结果表明:该树高28.3米,胸围8.72米,胸径2.78米,前地面积403.85平方米,树龄在一千年以上。在其向南面的树干距地面1.2米处分为两权,中间镶嵌着一个 Gansu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Huding Xixian Township fir village, 1860 meters above sea level, there is an ancient fir, the local people called the Fragrant fir, respect for the tree of God.
