The effect of applying growth regulators to flowers open to Vanilla planifolia can be podded and podded as in the pollination of humans, which has yielded results. Pod rates induced with 2,4-D, dicamba and IAA-IBA pastes were high. Only the highest concentration of NAA treatment yielded pod rates similar to those described above. Gibrel-treated pods low. Patch was induced by applying 0.1 mg 2,4-D lanolin paste around the base of the calyx. Although the pod weight was lighter than that of artificial pollination, the pod size was comparable. Repeated application of 0.1% 2.4-D lanolin paste on one inflorescence and removal of all remaining unopened flowers after 4 pods had almost no effect on the size of pod already. Both dicamba and 2, 4-D can transfer flower buds to other flower buds in the same inflorescence and induce these flower bud pods. Dicamba can also pass from one inflorescence to another. The growth curves of unisexual pods and human pollinated pods are all S type. Flowers treated with 0.1 mg 2.4-D had maximum ovary growth rates in the first week after application and artificial pollination in the third week after pollination. Chromatography of the infusion showed that vanillin was present in all unisexual pods.
