水飞蓟是菊科一年生草本植物,1972年从德国引入我国,适宜东北地区栽培,一般亩产100公斤左右,销售价每公斤约6元,亩产值600元左右。 水飞蓟是多用途作物,一是作药材用,种子具有清热解毒、保肝利胆、醒脑健脑、抗癌抗射线的功效;二是可作油料,种子中含食用油28～36％;三是可作屏障,其茎叶长刺,种后50天能形成牲畜不敢碰的屏障;四是可作观赏,头状花序、紫色、大如鸡蛋;五是可作绿肥,植株生长快,养分含量高,田间腐烂快;六是可作饲料,植株可作氨化饲料和青贮饲料,种子可直接用作饲料;七是可作蜜源,无污染,蜂蜜产量高;八是可作菜用,苗期可作青菜食用。
