ATM网络的实现和应用日益广泛,使用卫星互连分散的ATM网络能提供高带宽的广域网连接并实现多种服务质量。互联网协议(IP)是用于异种网互连的成熟协议,适于卫星信道的广播特性。用IP协议在卫星信道传输(IPOS)互连ATM网络能充分发挥卫星信道和ATM网络的作用,实现全球互连。本文提出了IPOS实现ATM互连的模型框架、协议栈,从网络交换结构和传输协议两方面设计用IP在卫星ATM网(SATAM)上传输交换的方式。
The realization and application of ATM networks are becoming more and more widespread. ATM networks using satellite interconnection and decentralization can provide high-bandwidth wide area network connection and achieve a variety of service qualities. Internet Protocol (IP) is a mature protocol for heterogeneous network interconnection, suitable for the broadcast characteristics of satellite channels. Using the IP protocol to interconnect IP networks over IP networks ATM networks give full play to the role of satellite channels and ATM networks for global interconnection. This paper presents a model framework and protocol stack for IPOS to implement ATM interconnection. The method of transmitting and exchanging IP over satellite ATM network (SATAM) is designed from the aspects of network switch fabric and transport protocol.
