Since the 1980s, the famous American psychologist Bloom and his aides spent five years investigating 120 outstanding talents in six fields in the United States. Among these talents, there are pianists, sculptors, Olympic swimmers, tennis champions, mathematicians and neurologists, all of whom are under the age of 35, each of whom has the highest level of excellence and outstanding achievement in today’s world. Bloom’s research shows that although musicians, athletes and scientists have different fields of activity, there are striking resemblances between their talent development processes and the common law of growth. In his opinion, the patterns of growth of these elites are to a large extent suitable for the study of ordinary schools and of all people. What is the model of excellence growth?
