胸罩,是英国人玛丽女士在偶然中发明的。1914年,玛丽女士为了参加一个盛大的舞会,翻遍了衣柜也没能找出一件令人满意的衣服。由于时间紧迫,她让女仆用3条手帕加上丝带,扎起一对简单的能够支起乳房的半月形口袋——这便诞生了世界上第一副胸罩。她裸露上身,戴了这副胸罩去参加舞会,顿时引起轰动,大出风头。一家紧身衣公司的老板立即上门买下这一专利,并迅速生产出第一批胸罩,很快被那些爱美的女士们抢购一空。厂家纷纷效仿生产,并流行到其他国家。

She bare upper body, wearing this pair of bras to attend the ball, suddenly caused a sensation, the limelight. A tights company boss immediately come to buy the patent, and quickly produce the first bras, and soon was the beauty of the ladies snapped up. Manufacturers have to follow the example of production, and popular to other countries.
