Intelligent Mining Implementation (IMI) is a research and development technology program. In this program, machinery and systems have been developed in its smart mines. At the same time, the technical project is being further developed and tested at the planned Kemik underground mine at the Outokumpu chromite company to be implemented. The IMI project started in early 1997 with a duration of three years and is estimated to have a budget of $ 8 million. It includes 10 development projects, which are distributed in three main areas: 1) implementation of advanced technologies; 2) data utilization; and 3) training mine personnel to adapt to this new technology, new system and environment. In addition, the program includes two support projects: the coordination of the program and advanced mining process design. The purpose of this program is to improve the labor productivity of its mines, reduce the total cost of mines and improve working conditions
