６月２３日是世界奥林匹克日。北京奥申委、中央电视台、中国贸易促进会主办，中国文化艺术有限公司承办的“世界三大男高音紫禁城广场音乐会”定于２００１年６月２３日２０时在故宫午门至端门广场举行。主会场设在午门至端门广场，分会场分别设在北京大学百年会堂和朝阳公园。届时，将邀请党和国家领导人、外国政要及国内外知名人士出席。活动规模，主会场３万人，北大分会场２千人，朝阳公园分会场８千人； ６月２２日２０时在主会场举行 “世界三大男高音紫禁城广场音乐会”预演，规模１万５千人，全部为组织观众；６月２３日１８时３０分，在端门城楼举办音乐会酒会，规模１千人；６月２３日２３时３０分在人民大会堂大宴会厅举办音乐会晚宴，规模２千人。 为确保此次活动安全和顺利进行，按照北京奥申委和北京市公安局的要求，根据《世界三大男高音紫禁城广场音乐会安全警卫工作总体计划》提出的“确保中心会场，加强外围疏导，维护良好秩序，做好应急准备”的工作要求，特制定消防执勤岗位部署方案。
