Mesozoic magmatism formed the volcanic - intrusive complex series with closely genetic relationships in eastern Guangdong province of China. Some of the complexes have transitional characteristics of S-type and I-type, and thus are named S-I type, which show that there was a specially geological and geochemical background when the complex formed. The regional magmatism evolution characteristics shows that this area underwent S-N trending extension, collision and Netrending shear, extension in Mesozoic. The regional complexes are the superposition of Nanling and the Southeast China coast rock provinces. Therefore, this area is a key for us to study the Mesozoic magmatic petrology and deep processes of the Southeast China continent.
