软氮化是一种新型氮化法,目前国内外多采用液体软氮化,其实质就是在含有氰酸盐的盐浴中进行低温(一般520~580℃,1~3小时)氮碳共渗.在软氮化处理时,零件表面渗入了大量氮,同时也渗入少量碳,在表面层形成大量氮化物和少量碳化物,从而改善零件性能,延长使用寿命.由于软氮化处理后渗层硬度低于普通氮化,不脆而富有韧性,因此得软氮化的名(但这一名词并不十分恰当).
