From March 24 to 27, 1997, the Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Water Resources reviewed the intermediate results report of the feasibility study of the Ganzepo Water Control Project on the Yellow River in Hancheng, Shaanxi Province. Representatives from Shaanxi Provincial Department of Water Resources, Shanxi Provincial Water Resources Department, Yellow River Conservancy Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources and the Yellow River Survey, Planning, Design and Research Institute attended the meeting. Ganzepo Water Control Project is located at the lower end of the Huanghe River, and the left bank is Shanxi Province.
