我国有55个少数民族。人口逾1亿,占全国人口的8％左右,主要分布在内蒙、新疆、宁夏、广西、西藏几个少数民族自治区和云南、贵州、青海、甘肃、四川等省份,他们是中华民族的重要成员,是中华民族文化源远流长的重要力量。当前,在全面实施西部大开发战略的新形势下,探索少数民族出版业的发展,不仅具有重要的政治意义,同时也具有重要的经济意义。
There are 55 ethnic minorities in our country. The population is over 100 million, accounting for about 8% of the population of the whole country, mainly in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Guangxi and several ethnic autonomous regions in Tibet and Yunnan, Guizhou, Qinghai, Gansu and Sichuan provinces.
