长周期光纤光栅是一种新型的无源光纤器件,对外界折射率敏感的特性使其可作为一种理想的光纤敏感元件。而磁流体具有明显的磁光效应,即具有在外界磁场作用下其折射率发生改变的特性。将磁流体与长周期光纤光栅相结合作为传感探头,提出了一种全新的磁场测量方法,并对其进行了深入的理论分析和初步的实验验证。实验结果表明,所提出的基于磁流体与长周期光纤光栅的磁场传感方法可以用于磁场和电流的测量。
Long-period fiber grating is a new type of passive optical fiber device that is sensitive to the outside world and makes it an ideal fiber-optic sensing element. However, the magneto-fluid has obvious magneto-optical effect, that is, it has the property of changing the refractive index under the action of the external magnetic field. A novel magnetic field measurement method is proposed based on the combination of magneto-fluid and long-period fiber gratings. The theoretical analysis and preliminary experimental verification are carried out. The experimental results show that the proposed magnetic field sensing method based on magnetic fluid and long period fiber gratings can be used to measure magnetic field and current.
