《全日制义务教育数学课程标准(实验稿)》指出:“评价的主要目的是为了全面了解学生的数学学习历程,激励学生的学习和改进教师的教学……对数学学习的评价要关注学生学习的结果,更要关注他们学习的过程;要关注学生数学学习的水平,更要关注他们在数学活动中所表现出来的情感与态度,帮助学生认识自我,建立信心。”数学日记不仅可用于评价学生对知识的理解,而且可用于评价学生的思维方式。通过日记的方式,学生可以对他所学的数学内容进行总结,可以像和自己谈心一样写出他们自己的情感态度、遇到的困难或感兴趣之处。教师可以通过数学日记来进一步了解学生,学生也可以在教师的评语中了解教师对自己的评价,进一步肯定自己或改进自己的学习行为,同时还可以增进师生间的交流。
