The famous West Lake in Hangzhou was once released as a free pool in the Republic of China. This phenomenon is closely related to the efforts of faith groups formed by the monks and gentry in Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces. The group advocated the concept of life-saving nursing students in the early Republic of China, which gradually gained official recognition. This agreement made West Lake a liberating pool by the Zhejiang provincial government in 1922. In the subsequent fierce situation change, the monks and gentry groups resolved on many occasions attempts to change the status of the West Lake release pool. Even after the Northern Expedition, in the face of the powerful transformation of the West Lake by the Hangzhou municipal government at the time, the groups were able to keep part of the West Lake Release function. The combination of monk and celebrity gentry brings a strong ability to mobilize resources, is the group to maintain the key to the entry into force of the act.
