The article intends to analyse the causes and process of the spread andreception of deconstructionism in China, and tries to probe the differencesbeneath the similarities between Chinese and Western cultures on the planeof traditional cultures: 1) Oriental intuitive perception is obviously contra-dictory to rational/linguistic centricity, however, it should be regarded asthe intuition by the simultaneity of language and meaning prior to separationof reason and perception; 2) What is deconstructed in Chinese cultural tradi-tion is the methods and approaches for acquiring meaning rather than mean-ing itself, and meaning is not extended to the void while emphasis is put onseeking those methods and approaches; 3) By adopting the tool of decon-structionism, Chinese theoreticians make inquiries into the cultural and basicmeanings of Chinese so as to reconstruct contemporary discourse.
