赣棉8号是我所于1983年从赣棉5号中按系统育种程序,结合定向筛选培育鉴定的方法,历经9年育成的耐旱棉新品种。1991年3月经江西省品种审定委员会审定并命名,同年9月通过省级技术鉴定,从而填补了江西省耐旱棉品种的空白,对全省60％的丘陵棉区提供了一个非常实用和具有较高经济价值的种质资源,必将促进我省棉花生产的大发展。1991年已在丰城、彭泽、九江、湖口、德安、都昌等县市示范推广3万余亩。 Ganmian 8 is a new drought-tolerant cotton variety that we cultivated in 9 years after we started the system breeding program in Ganmian-5 in 1983 with the method of directional screening and breeding.
