The UK's Atomic Energy Agency and British Nuclear Fuel Corp. are pushing ahead with a research project that uses laser decontamination of isotopes using atomic processes and is expected to complete the actual test equipment by the mid-1990s. Then Harwell & Culhum also developed a 15w copper vapor pulsed laser device. The laser-separated isotope method pioneered by British Nuclear Fuel Corporation in 1982, which utilizes the new research program of the Harwell Institute on the achievements of laser devices, is scheduled to prove to be more effective than current British, West German, Dutch
