1957年受北京中国科学院地质研究所李璞及涂光炽二位先生之嘱,在跟随A.T.苏斯洛夫专家学习矿相的同时,对布鲁寺台区钛矿矿床的矿石标本,进行显微镜下工作,由于其他工作之故,对此项任务始终没有很好的进行。至今年(1958年)抽空对它作了初步的观察,今提出一些不成熟的意见及初步的结果,提供今后在该区工作同志的参考。我们知道钛在地壳中是分布较多的元素之一,其重量克拉克值为0.61佔第四位;原子克拉克值为0.22佔第十一位。钛在岩石中分布情况,根据赫维希测定如下表:
