Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is an important clean energy source. According to statistics, the apparent consumption of LPG in China reached 22.4 million tons in 2009, far exceeding that of natural gas and artificial gas in the urban gas field. The main components of LPG are propane and butane, all of which are flammable and explosive dangerous goods. They are very dangerous in the process of production, storage and transportation. If they are handled inadvertently, they will cause disaster. Through analyzing the personal experience of liquefied petroleum gas leakage accidents, the author hopes to inspire his peers and make joint efforts to ensure the safety management of liquefied petroleum gas storage tanks.
