In order to understand the performance and failure modes of high-strength steel end plates under fire, experimental studies were carried out. Full-scale testing of the beam-column high-strength steel end plate connections at steady-state fires at 550 ° C and room temperature was performed and their performance was compared with that of mild steel end plates. In addition, the use of high-strength steel end plate test results of the European Regulation 3 were verified. The results show that, at room temperature and high temperature, the appropriate reduction of the thickness of the high strength steel end plate can improve the rotation ability of the connection, so as to ensure the safety of the whole structure, and the bending resistance is almost the same with that of the low carbon steel end plate.
